Inhalt/ Summary

Der Film basiert auf einem Interview, das ein Reporterteam 1999 mit Giancarlo führte, einen zwölfjährigen Flüchtling aus Peru, der illegal in Schweden lebt. Seit er seinen Eltern hierher folgte, lebt er in ständiger Angst vor Entdeckung und Verfolgung. Er musste oft die Wohnung wechseln und hat nie gewagt, sich mit anderen Kindern anzufreunden. Jetzt ist er von der Ausweisung bedroht. Der Film kombiniert das reale Interview mit animierten Bildern und ermöglicht uns, das Schicksal eines Flüchtlingskindes auf ganz neue Weise wahrzunehmen.

The film is based on an interview conducted in 1999 with Giancarlo, a twelve-year-old refugee from Peru who is living illegally in Sweden. Ever since he followed his parents here, he has lived in constant fear of discovery and persecution. He has had to move his home several times and has never dared to make friends with other children. Now he faces deportation. The film combines the actual interview with animated images and enables us to see the fate of a refugee child in an entirely new light.

Regisseurin Hanna Hellborn, Jahrgang 1968, studierte 1994 an der New York Film School und von 1994 bis 1996 am Dramatiska Institutet in Schweden. Sie hat die Radiodokumentation „Miriam, Miriam“ zusammen mit David Aronowitsch produziert.

Director Hanna Hellborn, born in 1968, studied at the New York Film School in 1994 and at the Dramatiska Institutet in Sweden from 1994 to 1996. She produced the radio documentary “Miriam, Miriam” together with David Aronowitsch.
