Die deutsche Videowirtschaft verleiht erstmals bei den 44. Nordischen Filmtagen Lübeck einen neuen Preis, der dazu beitragen soll, den Kinder- und Jugendfilm zu fördern. Zugleich soll der außerordentlichen Qualität der Kinder- und Jugendfilmproduktion in Skandinavien und der Brückenkopffunktion der Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck bei der Präsentation dieser Werke in Deutschland Rechnung getragen werden. Die Auszeichnung ist mit einem Preisgeld in Höhe von 5.000 Euro dotiert, das zweckgebunden zur Veröffentlichung des entsprechenden Films auf Video oder DVD verwendet werden soll. Darüber hinaus gibt die Videowirtschaft eine Vertriebsgarantie und eine Abnahmeunterstützung.
 
The German video industry is awarding a new prize for the first time at the 44th Nordic Film Days Lübeck. It is intended to promote and encourage Children's and Youth Film. At the same time, it acknowledges the outstanding quality of film production in this particular field in Scandinavia and the important role played by the Nordic Film Days Lübeck in screening these works in Germany. The prize money of 5,000 Euro is to be used for the publication of the respective film on video or DVD. In addition, the video industry guarantees distribution and marketing support for the film.
