Inhalt/ Summary

Film über eine junge Lesbe, die ihren Heimatort Kautokeino verlassen musste, weil sie dort nicht mit ihrer Freundin zusammen sein konnte. Nun, nach zweijähriger Abwesenheit kehrt sie zurück, um ihre Familie und ihre Freunde zu besuchen.Ausgezeichnet als bester samischer Film beim 13. Nordischen Filmfestival in Kautokeino 2001.

Film about a young lesbian who had to leave her home town of Kautokeino because she couldn't live there with her girlfriend. Two years later she returns to visit family and friends.Awarded Best Sami Film at the 13th Nordic Film Festival in Kautokeino 2001.

Nils John Porsanger, Same, geb. 1959 in Karasjok, Norwegen, Sohn einer Rentier-Züchter-Familie. Regisseur, Cutter und Kameramann. Arbeitete 1983 - 1999 für NRK (Norwegian Broadcasting) u.a. für Sámi Radio. Seine Filme erhielten Auszeichnungen auf dem Barents Film Festival in Luleå, Schweden und dem Film Festival Krakau, Polen. Sein Film „A Lesbian i Kautokeino“ gewann den Preis für den besten Dokumentarfilm beim Nordic Film Festival in Kautokeino 2001.

Nils John Porsanger, born in 1959, is a Sami from Karasjok in Norway, and the son of a reindeer-farming family. Porsanger works as director, cutter and cameraman. From 1983 to 1999 he worked for the Norwegian NRK and Sámi Radio. His films have won awards at the Barents Film Festival in Luleå, Sweden and at the Cracow Film Festival in Poland.
