Inhalt/ Summary
Eine alte Frau, die in Litauen auf dem Land lebt, bezeichnet sich als Ortsansässige. Ihr Vater sprach kein Litauisch, ihr Mann ging nach Deutschland und kam dort um, bevor sie ihm folgen konnte. Später wurde sie mit ihren Kindern nach Sibirien deportiert. Kurze Fragmente ihrer Lebensgeschichte - die von Landschaftsbildern und Beobachtungen des Landlebens unterbrochen werden - verweisen auf ein Leben zwischen den Nationen.
An old lady living in the countryside in Lithuania calls herself a local. Her father spoke no Lithuanian. Her husband went to Germany and died there before she could join him. Later she was deported to Siberia with her children. Brief fragments of a life story, interrupted by landscapes and observations of rural life, tell of a life caught between nations.
