La Cuisine du Nord | Good Ol' Country Cooking

Die Kochkunst des Nordens spielt eine besondere Rolle bei den diesjährigen Filmtagen. Gänzlich unkonventionelle Küche bieten Torkild und seine Männergang in der dänischen Action-Komödie Blinkende Lygter / Blinkende Lichter, dem Spielfilmdebüt von Anders Thomas Jensen, der bisher mit seinen Drehbüchern („In China essen sie Hunde “,„Mifune “) und Kurzfilmen (Oscar für „Valgaften / Der Wahlabend “,1999) für Furore sorgte. Kulinarische Köstlichkeiten aus Produkten der Region zaubert Stefan Johansson, Inhaber und Chefkoch des traditionsreichen Gasthof Forshem in Västergötland. Der schwedische Dokumentarfilmer Stefan Jarl hat ihn in seinem Film Gästgivargår ’n / Der Landgasthof liebevoll porträtiert. Grund genug für uns, Stefan Johansson nach Lübeck einzuladen. Zusammen mit Lothar Tubbesing kocht er in der Lachswehr auf - und alle Gäste der Filmtage können sich seine Kreationen dort erstmals aus deutschen Töpfen und Pfannen schmecken lassen.
 
Im Kontrastprogramm können wir in Jaana Puhakkas La Cuisine Finlandaise staunend zusehen, wie die junge Mutter Mari und der Witwer Gösta, zwei Menschen, die es kaum verstehen, ein Ei zu kochen, ohne das Wasser anzubrennen, in einem Kochkurs in Helsinki in die Geheimnisse der finnischen Küche eingeweiht werden. Damit das Publikum diese beiden Dokumentarfilme mit allen Sinnen wahrnehmen kann, laden Stefan Johansson und Lothar Tubbesing im Kino zur kulinarischen Aktion „Vom Dosenfutter zum Grand Menu“. The cuisine of the North play a special part in this year’s Film Days. Torkild and his gang serve up most unconventional fare in the Danish action comedy Flickering Lights , the directorial debut of Anders Thomas Jensen, who in the past caused quite a sensation with his outstanding screenplays (“In China They Eat Dogs ”,“Mifune ”)and his short films (Oscar for “Election Night ”,1999). Culinary delicacies from the region are the specialty of Stefan Johansson, owner and chef de cuisine of the age-old Forshem County Inn in Västergötland. Swedish documentarist Stefan Jarl paints a loving portrait of the cook and his famous restaurant in The Country Inn. Reason enough for us to invite Stefan Johansson to Lübeck. He will join his Lübeck counterpart Lothar Tubbesing in the kitchen of the Lachswehr, and all of the guests of the festival will be able to savour creations, fabricated for the first time in German pots and pans.
 
Contrasting to this documentary in the double-feature programme is Jaana Puhakk ’s La Cuisine Finlandaise , in which we watch with amazement how young mother Mari and widower Gösta, two people who can hardly boil an egg without scotching the water, are initiated into the mysteries of Finnish cuisine during a cooking course in Helsinki. To prime the senses before consuming the films, Stefan Johansson and Lothar Tubbesing will invite the cinema audience to a culinary action under the title “From Canned Food to the Grand Menu”.
