Auf ein Neues bei den 43.Nordischen Filmtagen I Off to a Good Start

Die Ägide Linde Fröhlich beginnt mit einem Umzug: Die neu gekürte Vorsitzende der Künstlerischen Leitung ist gerade dabei, neue Räume zu beziehen. Ab Mai befindet sich das Büro der Nordischen Filmtage in der Schildstraße 6-8, direkt neben der Kulturbehörde der Hansestadt Lübeck. Das neue Büro bietet Platz für die Künstlerische Leitung,die Logistik, die Pressestelle und die Technische Leitung. So befinden sich jetzt die Organisationszentrale und das ganze Team der Filmtage in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft zueinander.
 
Die 42. Nordischen Filmtage Lübeck waren ein Riesenerfolg. Über 15.000 Besuche wurden bei den 96 Vorstellungen registriert. Eine Rekordzahl und ein neuerlicher Beweis für die Begeisterung und Treue unserer Fans, denen wir herzlich danken! Um 2001 wirklich alle Interessenten unterbringen zu können, werden wir bei den 43.Filmtagen zusätzliche Wiederholungen in den Lichtspielen „Hoffnung “anbieten, dem Stammhaus und traditionellen Filmkunsttheater der Firma Kieft & Kieft, die das Festival seit 1994 in ihrem Filmpalast Stadthalle beherbergt und kompetent betreut. Der Filmpalast - jetzt unter dem Namen „CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle “ - mit seinen sieben Kinos und vielfältigen gastronomischen Angeboten wird aber weiterhin Heimstatt und Zentrum des Festivals bleiben.
 
Schließlich gilt es, Liv Ullmann zu gratulieren. Die Ehrenvorsitzende der Nordischen Filmtage wurde berufen, der glanzvollen Internationalen Jury in Cannes vorzustehen, der unter anderen die Schauspielerinnen Julia Ormond und Charlotte Gainsbourg und die Regisseure Terry Gilliam und Edward Yang angehören.
 
 
 

Linde Fröhlich is beginning her new era with a move: the head of the Artistic Direction is currently preparing to set up new office facilities. As of May the office of the Nordic Film Days is to be located at Schildstrasse 6-8, right next to the cultural administration of the Hanseatic city of Lübeck. The office will house the Artistic Direction, the logistical department, the press office and the technical direction. Thus, the general organisation and the whole team of the Film Days will be side by side.
 
The 42nd Nordic Film Days were a huge success. More than 15,000 admittances were registered during the 96 screenings. A record number and further proof of the enthusiasm and loyalty of our fans, to whom we offer our warmest thanks! So that we can really fit in all of the viewers expected at the 2001 festival, we have arranged to offer additional repeat screenings at the “Hoffnung” film theatre, the original cinema of the Kieft & Kieft company, who have accommodated the Nordic Film Days with amenity and competence since 1994 in their Filmpalast Stadthalle. With its seven screens and numerous gastronomic facilities this multiplex - now officially called “CineStar Filmpalast Stadthalle” - will remain the home base and centre of the festival.
 
And finally, we would like to congratulate Liv Ullmann. The Honorary President of the Nordic Film Days Lübeck has been chosen to head the prestigious International Jury in Cannes, which includes such personalities as the actresses Julia Ormond and Charlotte Gainsbourg and the directors Terry Gilliam and Edward Yang.
