Documentary about the owners of an old coal hauliers’ company in Bochum, their relationship to the mining community and a final, unsentimental glance at the black heart of the region whose collieries are long closed.
Dirk Hilbert, geboren in Lübeck, studierte Film- und Fernsehwissenschaften in Bochum und Mexiko und übte verschiedene Tätigkeiten in der Film- und Medienbranche aus. Jetzt studiert er Film- und Fernsehregie an der Hochschule „Konrad Wolf“ in Potsdam.
Dirk Hilbert was born in Lübeck. He read film and television studies in Bochum and Mexico and has worked in various capacities in the field of film and media. He now studies film and television directing at Konrad Wolf College in Potsdam.
